  6. About MacPhoneSoup:
  7. MacPhoneSoup is a nifty phone utility that generates words from phone numbers.
  8. eg. 269-4455 will produce a list of word/number combinations, one of which is "big-hill".
  9.  
  10. What Can it do?
  11. you can use MacPhoneSoup to do the following:
  12.  
  13. • produce easy to remember words/numbers combination from telephone numbers.
  14. • convert telephone numbers that contains words to numberic phone numbers for
  15.   easy dialing(the last entry on the output list contains the numeric output).
  16. • produce alternate spelling for your current "worded" phone number. 
  17.   eg. 800-CALL-ATT is also 800-BALK-CUT
  18. • walk your dog, feed your cat, wash your dishes, you imagination is the limit.

  21. History and Credit:
  22. MacPhoneSoup is based on version 4.0b2 of Soren Ragsdale's ANSI C++ program 
  23. Soup(http://www.cs.arizona.edu/people/soren/soup/soup.html). There was a console 
  24. based mac version, called PhoneSoup 3.1. I liked the program and found it useful 
  25. so I took the opportunity of the Summer 98 to make MacPhoneSoup.

  41. MacPhoneSoup is a FREE. However, if you decide to keep it for longer than 21 days,
  42. you must send an email to <macphonesoup@10k.org>. That way I will know who is using
  43. it, if any, so I can decide wether it is worth my time to make bug fixes and add new
  44. features. I will NOT however sell your email addresses to anyone, it is just for my
  45. record.

  47. Commercial use of this product is strictly prohibited. This program, may be distributed
  48. freely at all FTP sites, BBSes etc, as long as no money is charged for it and that you 
  49. only distribute an unmodified, complete copy of the archive. If you want to put 
  50. MacPhoneSoup on CD-ROM/DVD etc and charge a fee for distribution, then you must obtain 
  51. written permission from me as well send me a free copy of the CD.
